What is iHeard Texas?
Texas CEAL Health Monitoring and Response Project (iHeard) is a weekly updated collection of health claims and topics trending in Texas. Based on surveys to residents, we aim to identify what health information people in Texas are receiving, and whether or not this information is accurate. We then develop resources and messaging our partners can share with residents to counteract any misinformation.

How do we collect information?
Each week we send a 3-minute survey to 200 residents asking what health information they have heard in the last 7 days.
We immediately analyze survey responses to identify current health information priorities in the region, then rapidly respond with accurate information for local partners to use and share.
How do we share findings and resources with the public?
iHeard sends a weekly alert to local partners highlighting top findings and priorities, accurate health information, and local resources to support a broad-based response. In addition, we create ready-to-share media assets that can be distributed by local partners and trusted local messengers.
Who are our local partners?
iHeard Texas partners with local organizations across sectors: public health, healthcare, social services, education, libraries, neighborhood associations, and more. Any organization that has direct contact with residents is a potential iHeard Texas partner.
