There wasn’t a single community member that escaped the impact of COVID-19.
Whether it was the loss of loved ones, loss of work, or loss of educational opportunities — COVID-19 impacted every single person in Texas. And racial/ethnic minority communities suffered the burdens of COVID-19 at higher levels than other populations, facing obstacles to receiving trustworthy resources, to accessing services, and to getting vaccines and treatment. Texas CEAL projects provided urgent support to these vulnerable community members, offering outreach, education, and services.
